Seth A. Britten

Seth Britten joined Cooper Schall & Levy as an associate attorney in 2015. Since that time, Seth has dedicated his career to representing victims and their families who have suffered from catastrophic injuries.
During Seth’s time at Cooper Schall & Levy, he has regularly handled medical malpractice, wrongful death and other catastrophic injury cases resulting in seven-figure outcomes. In 2022 alone, Seth was lead counsel or co-counsel on cases totaling over $20 million dollars in recovery for victims and their families. This includes acting as lead counsel in a birth injury lawsuit involving untreated neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, which settled before trial for over $3 million dollars. Seth was also co-counsel in a train-accident case that settled for $8 million dollars, and a wrongful death case involving a bicyclist who was fatally injured that resolved for $6.4 million dollars.
Prior to 2022, significant recoveries include a wrongful death case involving an elderly woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle that drove into a nail salon. This case resolved for over $1.6 million after four days of trial in Philadelphia County, where Seth tried the case alongside Cooper Schall & Levy partner Charles Cooper.
Seth is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He graduated in 2015 from Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University, where he also received his undergraduate degree. While in law school, Seth was awarded best performance in oral argument and had a judicial internship with the Honorable Gregory M. Sleet in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
